We are a two car family!

We picked up our new 2009 Toyota Corolla LE today, maybe better pictures when I take them before the sun starts to go down. Who can tell me why this car is EXACTLY what I like?

Well done!

No pictures, but what a night. Laura's basketball team finished second in her Tire II school league and played the third place team Monday. After jumping out to a big lead of 32-19 nearing the end of the game they let it slip and kept fouling the other team giving them point opportunities but eventually prevailed 32-30.

Last night they played the final against the number one team, whom they hadn't come close to beating in the regular season. Down 11-4 early it looked inevitable that a silver medal was coming, but they battled back to tie the game 20-20 at half. But that's when the other team took over and with just over two minutes left in the game we were down 36-30, looking pretty bleak. A foul shot in and a couple of good baskets and we were down 36-35 with 5.6 seconds left. Laura had the inbound pass and she made it right to a player in front of the basket and she scored with 2.1 seconds left and Cornerstone won it 37-36 to take the title. What an amazing game, they were down most of the game but battled back with strong defense to keep themselves in the game and the ability to pull it out.

There were lots of parents there, lots of noise and it was great to see all the cameras taking pictures of the team, they were so happy and proud of themselves. Hope to snag a picture or two that were taken, cheers!

Laura Turns 13!

Laura and her friend Aysia both turned 13 in the same week so us moms decided to take the girls to Regina for a lesson in how to apply makeup. We had a fun day together and the girls each got a beauty lesson and then got to shop for makeup.

Laura's favourite part was the glitter eyeliner which we, of course, had to purchase!

Andrew sang in his classes choir for the program, what we don't get is why he always gets put into the back row, wonder if it has to do with his singing ability!
