Laura - "A" Girls Basketball

Finally I grab some imagery of Laura's basketball season. The kids are now 0-4 but they're improving every game. It's "A" basketball which means it's generally grades 7 and 8 but we don't have enough players for that so there's 4 grades 6's on the team, including Laura.

Tonight...
Prince Arthur 36 Cornerstone 31
Laura....
Shots 5 or 6
Baskets 1
Ball strips, jumps, other general good things 4 or 5
Fouls 4

Watch carefully, Laura reaches in to knock the ball out of the opponents hands and out of bounds, where it hit her Mummy's leg!

Here's a few second of regualr scintilating action.

Blizzard and Candles

Blizzard Warning in Saskatchewan, so we hunkered down at home for the evening while the -40 wind chill turns into -46 by thr morning. Lisa's hoping for a complete shut-down of the city tomorrow but we're too hardy here in Saskatchewan. Boo ya!

The new Dell

The computer we bought in November 2001 exploded a few weeks ago. Though I fixed it it runs really slow and we decided to replace it anyway, giving the kids a good computer to work on for many years we hope! Here's the fun of unpacking and connecting all the wires.

Laura's 12th Birthday Party

Laura had 5 friends over for her birthday party, we had a ton of fun!

First part was hair, make-up and nails at The Academies, a cosmotology school. Some students did up the girls and they had a great time.

Second half was a pizza party at Pizza Hut, loads of pizza, gifts and a fun cake. We took a whole whack of pictures and we ended up with 109 of them. These are the best from the Hut!

Yep, Daddy de man!

Lisa brought home a $40+ electronic gizmo from Ontario (thanx Stu!), a new desktop computer power supply. Daddy used his manly technical skills and installed it and it works great, though I couldn't figure out how to send power to the old floppy drive, but who cares, the kids didn't even know what it was when I told them they couldn't use it.

Where's Mummy????

With slightly over 24 hours to go before we meet Mummy at the airport you can see we've gotten pretty lazy without the Field Marshall to keep us in line!

More fun pics from the girls time last night.

Laura decided to throw everything from my bed onto me to help me warm up and let me enjoy the hockey game this afternoon.
