This is Laura & her friend Rebecca, whose Dad is the Chaplain at the Air Force Base.

We can't be close to many of our friends and family so we hope this blog will keep you up to date with what's happening with the Taylor family. Enjoy!

This is Laura & her friend Rebecca, whose Dad is the Chaplain at the Air Force Base.

This is Laura & her friend Jessica on the quad. The two girls disappeared for quite a while riding around the prairies!
These are our very hospitable hosts and our good friends Leanne & Paul.
As you might have guessed, we've made a few trips out to the air force base, 15 Wing Moose Jaw, which is located about 10 minutes south of our house. We see these planes flying over our house almost on a daily basis.
Between shooting rifles & watching planes, I guess the excitement was a little too much for Dad...
THE TAYLOR'S NEW ABODE!
Front of the house
Back view of the house & deck

View of the backyard from the bottom of the deck. That's an alley between our fence & the back of the other houses. That's where garages are built & that's where garbage pickup is done. We don't have a garage yet, but we'll build one eventually.
View from inside the front door.
Living Room
Living Room looking into the kitchen. Everything is very open and there's vaulted ceilings over the living room & kitchen.

Not really part of the house, but I just wanted to boast about the dozen roses that my husband brought home for me!

Kitchen. Although you can't see it in this picture, there's a walk-in pantry closet to the left of the stove.

Other end of the kitchen. Door on the far left is the door to the deck out back. Double doors are the main floor laundry and the other door is a closet.

Hallway leading from kitchen & living room down to the bathroom (first door on left), Andrew's room (second door on left) and our room (second door on right). There is a linen closet on the right as well.

Upstairs Bathroom - I know, not very exciting, but hey, it's the biggest bathroom we've EVER had, so I'm thrilled with it!

Andrew's Room - Oy Vey!

Laura's Room is in the basement in the "concrete jungle". We've put 2 area rugs down on the floor so she doesn't have to walk on cold concrete. We've also bought carpet remnants for the rest of the basement temporarily until we finish it. I don't think Laura minds - she seems pretty happy to have her own space downstairs & her own bathroom!

Downstairs bathroom where Ashley has been exercising his "manly tasks" such as caulking the shower and removing the toilet to replace the wax seal.
So other than showing you the furnace room, the utility room & the family room because they're all just drywall & concrete right now, that's our new house! We're really happy with it & we're looking forward to finishing the things that need to be done to make it our own!
