Christmas Party
Last night was our Township Christmas Party. Ashley was presented with a special award & plaque from the Fire Department in honour of his time served.
Not all the firefighters were there, but this is a picture of 18 of the 25 firefighters plus the Council member who represents the Fire Department. These boys sure do clean up nice!
This is Ashley and "Bucky", the Fire Department Council representative.

Ashley and our Fire Chief, Doug, in a loving embrace!

Minden Santa Claus Parade
Each year for the past 4 years, our church has put a float in the Santa Claus parade. This year our theme was "Angels we Have Heard on High" and the float was decorated to look like clouds with the kids all dressed like angels sitting in the clouds. From the feedback we've had, it seems people were more impressed with the Hummer that was pulling the float than the actual float itself! It was a really fun time!

Sunday was a very special day for our family as Ashley had the privilege of baptizing Laura along with 3 other members of our church. The service was held Sunday afternoon at 12 Mile Lake and friends and family of those being baptized waded into the water with them while others watched from the shore. Laura did a great job of writing her own testimony and presenting it in front of the crowd. The rest of the afternoon was spent picnicing and swimming. What a fabulous day!

Gramma & Andrew having a water gun fight in the backyard! Funny how Grampa and Mommy who were sitting in lawn chairs minding their own business happened to get wet too!

Just hangin' around!

After a great weekend of playing, swimming, picnicing and the baptismal service, it was time for Gramma and Grampa to leave.

We finally upgraded to a mini-van! Meet the new addition to our family...our 2001 Dodge Caravan SE!

ANDREW'S KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION, JUNE 2005

As the teachers try to get all the kids organized outside in the courtyard, you can tell that they're all concentrating very hard on what she's telling them!

After the kids sang some of their favourite songs from the year, they were presented with their diplomas. This is Andrew receiving his from his teacher, Mrs. Reid and the school principal, Mr. Thorne.

Andrew was very impressed with his diploma! Aye matey!

At least he didn't have any spit balls in his pockets!

Proud graduate! Kindergarten is over!

Laura & Andrew. It's hard to believe it was 3 years ago that we went through this same ceremony with Laura!

THE 4 AMIGOS!!!
Andrew, Nathan, Seth & Ryan
These 4 buddies have been friends for a long time and were in the same class together. Mrs. Reid deserves a medal for having these guys in her class all at the same time!

Mrs. Reid presenting Andrew with his report card. She was also Laura's teacher when she was in SK. We love Mrs. Reid and wish she would move up through the grades with our children! Both our kids had a wonderful start to their school years because of her!

Welcome to our BLOG! This should be easier than emailing pictures to everyone and you'll get to keep up to date with what's going on in our lives! We hope you enjoy it!
ALGONQUIN PARK 2005
Ashley & Andrew at the lookout on Booth's Rock Trail.

Ashley hiking.

Our campsite at Mew Lake Campground in Algonquin Park.

Andrew biking around the campsite. The kids put lots of miles on their bikes during this camping trip!

The kids on one of the trails.

Andrew warming himself by the fire.

This picture was also taken on one of the trails. Check out those roots! Just goes to show you how big they really are when you see Andrew standing there beside them.

Hug a tree!

Andrew took this picture of Ashley hanging out in the tree.

There was a family of ducks that came by our campsite a couple of times each day. I think the ducks ate more bread that week than we did!

NOODLE FIGHT!!!! Our campsite was right on the water and the kids spent hours in the water!

Noodle Boy!

Noodle Girl!

There was quite a serious little conversation going on in the dining tent between these two. I'm not sure what it was about, but I could tell they were deep in their thoughts.

We didn't see any moose all week until we were driving through the Park on our way home and then we saw this big boy!

A cheesy American game
